Information Age.

We are living in the information age, where the internet provides an opportunity for people from different cultural backgrounds to interact, share and access vast amounts of information which opens one’s eye to other dimensions of existence. The internet provides a platform where education is free for all regardless of past experiences. To a certain degree the size and type of device you use determines the amount of information you are able to absorb as the device we use determines the speed of the internet. I consider learning to be a change in behaviour due to life experiences.

Humans experience life through six senses, which are mainly used to absorb information in the external world (natural and social). We live in fields of information and the various languages we use on a daily basis allow us to make sense of the world. Education is the process of facilitating learning, or the acquisition of knowledge, skills, values, beliefs, and habits. Education plays a vital role in the world since it teaches people how to receive, integrate and communicate information about themselves and thus gaining a deeper experience to life.

We learn through experiences. What we have to do as people is to break this myth which defines learning as something that can only be experienced in educational institutions. In each and every moment of our existences we are constantly learning, which can be directly observed in one’s behaviour.

If you consider yourself a dreamer, free yourself from the misconceptions we use to define education and learning. Start to realise that life is the greatest educational institution and in each and every moment we are creating our own realities. A dream only comes to life through implementing that which flows through in the thought process.
